The house
Fifty years of German leather.
Mauritius Leatherwear is a family business from Lingen, in Lower Saxony. It was started by Juergen Raberg over fifty years ago and is now run by his children, Christian and Katrin, with design led from the same studio since the beginning.
The house is widely described as one of Europe's largest leather makers. On the floor that means depth: a broad, well-priced range, fit and grading that stay consistent, and quality control that holds season to season.

How is Mauritius leather made?
Mauritius works mainly in soft lambskin nappa, vegetable tanned rather than chrome tanned. The leather is a byproduct of the food industry, and production is BSCI certified for worker standards.
